Collaboration with kinderherz
KinderHerz Foundation is a charity based in Germany.
Its purpose is to give children from less developed countries, who suffer from congenital heart diseases and whose families do not have the financial means, the possibility of fully restoring the function of their heart, without any financial cost.
In September we had the pleasure and honor to support KinderHerz in its difficult task.
At our Hospital, in collaboration with Dr. Tzanavaros and the KinderHerz team, which consisted of 16 volunteer doctors from Germany (Pediatric Cardiac Surgeons, Pediatric Cardiologists, Anesthesiologists and Intensivists specializing in Pediatric Cardiac Surgery), operated on six children, two of whom came from abroad for this purpose.
Dr. Tzanavaros and the entire KinderHerz team, within four days, successfully operated on 6 children's hearts, resulting in 6 families finally taking their children home and hoping for a healthy life.
