Depending on the severity of the case, postoperative care is provided either in the

Intensive Care Unit (ICU) or in the High Dependency Unit (HDU), always with 24/7 medical and nursing support and continuous monitoring.

The unit is equipped with the latest medical technology, including:

  • Hemofiltration and plasmapheresis devices
  • Blood gas analyzers

Cardiac & Cardiac Surgery Intensive Care Unit (Heart ICU – 11 Beds)

In this context, the new Heart ICU was established — a modern, specialized unit with 11 additional beds (6 cardiac surgery beds & 5 cardiology beds), offering safety, advanced technology, and comfort to patients.

The unit is housed in a modern and bright environment, designed to support safe and effective recovery. Continuous monitoring is ensured through bedside systems and a central control station, while care is provided by specialized staff 24/7, in line with the latest international standards.

Heart ICU – Specialized Cardiology & Cardiac Surgery Support

The Heart ICU manages the most demanding cardiology and cardiac surgery cases, strengthening the work of the Cardiac Innovation Center, the Cardiology Clinic, and the Hemodynamics Laboratory.

The unit complies with strict international safety and operational standards and is equipped with:

  • ECMO (extracorporeal circulation and oxygenation support)
  • Next-generation ventilators & intra-aortic balloon pumps
  • Hemofiltration & plasmapheresis systems
  • Pacemakers, defibrillators, bronchoscopes, blood gas analyzers
  • Continuous high-precision hemodynamic monitoring
