Apollonion Private Hospital is pleased to announce that, starting from October 23rd, 2023, the Department of Accidents and Emergencies (TAEP) is part of the NHS and reopens from 8:00 in the morning, continuously on a 24-hour basis.
The upgraded Accident and Emergency Department at Apollonion Private Hospital aims to deliver enhanced health services through a comprehensive system of pre-hospital, in-hospital, and inter-hospital emergency care, adhering to modern standards and specifications. This initiative aligns with the Health Insurance Organization's ongoing efforts for continuous improvement.
In conjunction with its integration into the NHS, the Department has revamped its facilities, incorporating new spaces to fully align with the contemporary operational requirements of emergency medicine departments.
The combination of highly trained and certified doctors and nurses in emergency medicine and specialized emergency equipment ensures that the TAEP at Apollonion Private Hospital is able to proceed with rapid assessment and management of all emergency cases.
Crucially, the Accident and Emergency Department of Apollonion Private Hospital now operates 24/7, 365 days a year, providing optimal and immediate emergency care in collaboration with specialists from all medical fields.
In addition, the TAEP has 3 fully equipped ambulances for the immediate transport of patients.
The TAEP at Apollonion Private Hospital consistently continues to respond to the basic principle of development of health systems internationally to deal with medical emergencies at the appropriate time, place and by appropriately trained personnel.
The goals of the TAEP of Apollonion Private Hospital are:
- Standardizing and improving the quality of emergency medical care;
- Reducing mortality, morbidity, disability and pain associated with injury and sudden illness;
- Managing patient transfers in case there is no possibility of specialized treatment of serious cases (multiple injuries, burns, etc.);
